Efteling (delayed post)

^^ Yay, first post in February! =D

Yesterday I went to the Efteling (an amusement park with a theme of fairies, witches, trolls, Laafs and such)! =)
It was a lot of fun, I went with people from the various commissions of my study association. We were with 16 people. ^^
There was the so-called "Winter-Efteling", which meant that the park was especially decorated and accustomed for the Winter. The ironic thing was that yesterday also the first real snow has fallen! =) In January some snow had already fallen, but it were just a few flakes and they barely stayed on the ground without melting. So yesterday, when the real snow fell, the scenery was really pretty and cold...
^^ I got to know a few more people, and some other people I got to know even better! =)
In the beginning we went to every attraction with all of us, but after a while it become difficult and burdensome to wait for everyone to gather, so we broke up in 2 groups.
With the group I stayed in, we were with 8, we pretty much went in every attraction available. A few attractions were closed (the outside roller coasters and everything that involved water), but at the attractions that were opened there were no rows, we could just walk through. ^^ So I've been in the VogelRock (an indoor roller coaster). It was so much fun! J, a friend of mine went in too, but she's scared of roller coasters, so she screamed almost the complete ride xD She taped it... It was so funny, although you can't see a thing, because it's dark in there, you can hear her scream. "No, no, no, (x20) no- AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH *breathing* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH"
I also went with 5/8 into a swinging boat (Vliegende Hollander), it was so relaxing! xD At first, everyone lifted their hands up when going up, but in the end, I was the only one still doing that.. xD Turned out they all felt scared a little, I wasn't.. Which I thought was really surprising, because when I was 13 I still was scared to death for anything daring in amusement parks! So how come I went from scared person to complete daredevil within 8 years?!

Scary things weren't the only attractions we went in.. ^^ We also visited the "Fata Morgana" (An indoor attraction in which you go by boat through a scenery of Oriental and Middle Eastern scenes). It was really pretty~ ^^ There were tigers and belly dancers and flute players and all sorts of daily life scenes of the (rather stereotypical) wealthy village in the Middle East. I've never been in the Middle East ever, so I can't really tell whether they exist like that, or whether it's just our Dutch view on the Middle East (in peace times).

And of course we've also been in the "Droom Vlucht" (some sort of roller coaster that's slow, showing various scenes of fairies, trolls and all sorts of forest creatures). It's one of my favorite attractions, because it's so beautifully made and it's like entering another world for a bit. ^^
That day we did a lot more, but it's difficult to tell everything... If you live in or near the Netherlands, I really advise you to visit the theme park yourself! =) It's the Efteling in Kaatsheuvel.

Because of all the lovely snow, the public transport was completely disturbed. =( Around 1PM, we heard trains weren't riding as they should and Utrecht (which is in the middle of our country) was completely blocked. When we left the park at 6PM, we though things would be better... Well, we thought wrong!
We waited for half an hour for a bus that would bring us from Kaatsheuvel to Den Bosch train station. In Den Bosch we decided to check for trains first and then get some food. There wasn't any problem there... Me and J ordered together and I carried our food until the train arrived at the station, that's where trouble arose. I knew we (me, J and K) had to catch the train, but because of all those people, I lost sight of them, so I just got on the train. Since I still carried J's food, I had to find her! Otherwise I'd probably just send a text saying I'll meet them at the station we had to get out. J thought the same because she called me and I saw K waving her arms, 3 compartments away. The train was so incredibly packed that it took me a lot of effort getting one compartment closer to them. But that wasn't enough... I had 2 left to go (at that time I thought it was only one more). At the next stop I'd try again, I thought, but during the next stop, I was pushed away and so before I could try again, every passage was already blocked. The stop after that, I tried going via the outside. That worked, but now I noticed they were one compartment more away! I couldn't go outside anymore, I had to get through via the inside! Luckily people were making way for me and I could reach my friends! =D
Unfortunately, more trouble was coming our way... K could take a train to her parents' house, but J and I were still over an hour away from our homes. In Utrecht, traffic was still blocked... We waited for a long time before we could take a train that would bring us just a little closer to our hometowns. Eventually, Y, J's boyfriend (with whom she lives together) came to pick us up from the train station we were stranded on, which was actually half an hour driving from J & Y's house.
My dad would come pick me up from their house, but my mum thought it was better if I stayed over there and then have my dad pick me up the day after, because he had to be in that city anyway! Luckily it was no problem and we had fun during our little sleepover. =)

And still drama wasn't over... When I began writing this story, I was still at J & Y's place, waiting for my dad to pick me up. HE NEVER PICKED ME UP!!! I went to the city and met J's mum when doing grocery shopping and having coffee. My dad called, he was waiting for the "wegenwacht" (the road service) because he had car trouble. He called several times and my mum told me it'd be better if I just tried taking the train... Eventually I got home by train, before my father got home... We have a new car now.

Introduction of my new study!

Today I went to my new study's introduction day!! =D
As you may already know, I switched studies and my new study is "Korean studies".
Shortly explained: I'll learn the Korean language, the culture, the history, the literature and the traditions.

On Tanuki (that's the study association) camp I already got to know 3 Korean students (we were the only 4 that attended the camp).
Today I found out we're with 22 in total, of which I have already befriended 5. =)
The other 3/4 of my classmates I haven't spoken to, because there was no time at all to get to know them.

During the introduction day (which was actually an introduction hour) our 5 teachers introduced themselves and explained what the first semester was going to bring us. They answered questions we had and gave us info about our schedule. One of our teachers is a native speaker and I really look forward to the language lessons!! =D

And the most amazing thing I heard today? We (the whole class, so all 22 Korean students) are going to Korea for half a year, in our sophomore year!!! =^-^=
This is going to be AWESOME!

What to do when you're bored... *sigh*
To me the white sheet of an empty blog message is very alluring.. it makes me want to fill it with interesting stories! ^^ but it's usually not that interesting..
Just to make it more interesting, all types of games and question lists have been made by people who understand that blogging is very difficult when nothing big really happens in your life.. *breath in, breath out* ..but to be different from all the other blogs, you have to be unique.. *question mark, troubled expression* .. so you make your OWN LIST! X'D *slaps forehead*..

*cough* So that's what I'll do.. ^ー^"
It'll have only 3 questions..

1) What are you happy about?
Right now, I'm happy that my parents approve about me auditioning for the Film Academy next year.. ^^ I'm also happy that my photo camera (yes, I use a PHOTO camera to make MOVIES! XD) works with an file extention that is compatible with my computer! =D In that way I don't have to move mountains to get my vids done! ^^

2) What are you unhappy about?
I'm unhappy about my parents disapproving about my plans for the next year.. because I can't audition for the coming year at the Film Academy, I figured I wanted to spend the coming year going to Indonesia, stay with my family there, work a job and making vids during my free time.. (a great plan! ^^ At least, that's what I think).. but my parents think I should stay in my current study, to finish 2nd year of MIC, although that wouldn't get me a higher educational grade.. but I guess they have a point when they say I should finish 2nd year, because it's not sure I make it through the audition, so might I be rejected I can start at 3rd year of MIC.. *sigh* I just really hoped I could go to Indo~

3) What are you going to do?
Right now, I'm going to post this, log off and sleep.. Tomorrow, I'll be waking up early, start making some homework, maybe think of some script and leave for school.. When I get back, I'm afraid I have to play piano and then STUDY, STUDY, STUDY! =( I so dislike school now.. I'm not really motivated anymore.. but, I'll finish this year well and then I'm going to enjoy my summer vacation! ^^

I read one of my previous posts and in that post I was ranting about my stress for the Pitch I had to do.. I figured I should also tell you how it ended! ^^
I made a powerpoint presentation and I kept a paper with me, so in the end I was able to do well! =)
I really improved and that should count! ^^ Actually, I still was nervous like crazy and when I started my voice shot up from the nervousness! =X
Luckily nobody noticed, because I started my pitch with reading a small piece of my own story, which started with the word "Hey!" XD and that was exactly when my voice decided to octavate.. Keke!

Now I'd better go to sleep.. =)

I know it's going to be a difficult thing to do, but I'll try! =D

My dad's weird things xD.. today he was pissed because he had made a mistake with the door he was installing.. he had placed it the wrong side out.. ^^ that actually was an approvement (his statement), but he couldn't get around the fact that he had not planned it that way and only found out after installing it completely! xD
~2. The English accents of DBSK, SuJu, Ss501, SHINee and all the rest of Korean artists xD
~3. Get married (Indo movie)
~4. The dramas of DBSK & SuJu
~5. Me and my sister being dorky together.. ^^ Alreet XD (sorry inside joke^^')
~6. Indonesian words that resemble Dutch words
~7. Sue Limbs books! ^^ "Girl, 15, beautiful but insane" & the sequel

~9. The only guy in my project group being troubled because he thinks he's being affected by the fact he only works with girls xD.. He made a pony tail in his hair today ^^' I think he IS affected by us.. keke! xD

I think it was yesterday.. =P when I was talking with my boyfriend about something very interesting! ^^ Our conversations are always interesting! ^^ =P
It was about dreams.. =)

I think I have weird dreams.. I know dreams are always at least a bit weird.. but mine are never even slightly credible!!
There was a time when I would write down dreams I could remember in the morning.. ^^
I still have those dreams written down in a dummy! =P
Last night I took the dummy and read a few.. the first is from 2002! ^^' It's kind of long ago! xP

Let me share some dreams with you: ^^' warning.. they're weird and to top that off.. I took the weirdest few of them all! ^^'

~ November 2002 I was at school with my parents, we were attending some information gathering.. I was bored and went to the restroom, to empty a bucket of pee (yuk! why would I bother?!) . In the restroom was a dirty clothed man.. a beggar, so it seemed. I was scared of him, (in dreams the feelings of like or dislike are even sharper than in real life!) The man asked me my name, so I answered and wanted to leave. The man blocked my way and said: "I won't let you go this easy. Where do you live?" I told him the right street, but the wrong number, then I went back to my parents. I sat close to my mum and dad. Suddenly the man come back and paralysed my parents and me, saying I wasn't being honest to him and thus he was going to be nasty on me! He took a clothespin and started hanging my parents and me on a clothesline.. while saying: "If you hang it like this, it'll be the best.."

~ October 2004 I was at the Central station of Utrecht with my sister when there arrived a train with ex-prisoners. They were stacked in plastic bags like they were dead, which they weren't. Between the rails were another 2 bags, which lay there unnoticed. When the train had departed the 2 bags were ripped open and 2 armed men were shouting for us to clear the platform. On both sides the platform became deserted. Suddenly there was a third man. He screamed something like "I'll catch." My sister and I ran into the McDonalds. When we ordered fries the men came in. The quiet prisoner was talking to the 3rd man and the rough prisoner asked us: "Where's your mother?" A bit taken aback my sister and I answered: "At home!" The quiet prisoner came to us with a newspaper article, showing us a photo asking if we knew who it was.. I recognized the person and said it was Steffani, a girl from my class.. Then I went to the desk of MacDonalds and bought 7 Swiss bank notes. (never knew that MacDonalds dealed in currency exchange xD) Then my mum said they would be helpful if I wanted to go to Switzerland. After that me and the quiet prisoner went outside. I told he him he didn't look like a criminal, and went to sit on his lap.. then I whispered: "All you need is a little bit of love.." (was I hitting on a criminal?! *twitches eyes* O_o That's sooo not me!) When I had said those words he put the gun to my head. I got up from his lap and sat down on the step, saying: "You scare me, please put the gun away.." Then the prisoner told me he never wanted to hear 'the word' anymore, because his dad had died. With that he showed me the article again.. the announcement of his dad dying was beneath the photo of Steffani.

That were 2 very detailed dreams I've had.. ^^ I know.
It's because I wrote them down as soon as I woke up..
Nowadays I have dreamed a lot less, I also don't have the time to write them down in the morning.. ^^'
Nowadays I'm always troubled getting up and try to stay in bed as long as I can permit.. xD

I think I'd better sleep now.. ^^ It's getting late and I have to wake up at 8:00 am tomorrow! ^^'
I'm spending my day off in Amsterdam with a friend.. and we have agreed to meet up early, because she has to be home at 2:00 pm.

Next time I'll blog I'll pick a topic before hand.. ^^ so I won't have to share some stupid crap.. ^^'

Long time no see.. I'm BACK!!! =D

Yaay, my Internet is back, and so am I! ^^
It wasn't just lack of things to blog about, no, I just couldn't get on the Internet due to a defect in one of the cables.. blahblahblah.. (I'm no computer expert =X)

At first we thought our provider was being nasty to us.. ^^'
They did have an error at that time, but it turned out we hadn't even been victims to that error.. keke.. just a stupid coincidence.. =P
To find out more about the problem my mum and I tried out all sorts of things xD..
To find out that her laptop could actually run Internet (if there would be a connection) by itself! ^^' she'd always been using a cable, while she could get wireless access!! =P

You know what the most stereotype thing is when Internet fails? The so-called family bonding..
My family is already quite close, so I can't tell whether that is true, but we certainly had something to complain about together xD!

As I said, my family is close with each other ^^, we drink something together in the afternoons and in the evenings! =) It's nice to have that break when I have studied or had a long day at school.. Not that I talk much about that.. but I have the opportunity! ^^'

Once when we were having tea in the evening, my dad got the hiccups..
I have actually never heard my dad hiccup before, not that I remember.. ^^
The funny thing was, my dad was being pissed about having the hiccups! xD
It went so far that my dad decided to retreat to his own room, to get his hiccups to stop!
We were like: "What is he doing?" but we decided to let him handle it the way he thought was best..
^^ It still was hilarious, hearing his "hiccup!" from somewhere on the other side of the house, when there was a silence at ours.. *still laughs at the memory*
The sadest/funniest thing was, when my dad came back, thinking the hiccups were gone.. they came back! XD

=) Something completely different..
Last week I had a free day on wednesday! =) so I went to Amsterdam with a friend, Dieuwke, who happened to have wednesday off too! ^_^ We had lots of fun, going from shop to shop.. =)
I was looking for presents.. ^^ I blogged about this already.. I think..
I remember! ^^ That was the day before.. ^^
When we were in Amsterdam, there was this creepy man telling Dieuwke she looked good.. We were like.. "okay, thanks.. BYE!!! *creep*", but the man kept talking to us.. He asked whether we had visited Paradiso (a club) once.. I hadn't, but Dieuwke had, so the man invited us to come to Paradiso that night! 0_o
Dieuwke answered: "maybe... *mysterious grin*"
Ofcourse it meant: NO WAY!! but that's obvious! =P the creep was in his 40's!! The man wasn't done with us.. no.. He started telling me my style (clothing) wasn't sexy and that I should dress more like my friend!! o_O He concluded I must be unconfident about myself.. -_-"
I'm insulted! *pouts*
By the way, Dieuwke's and my style of clothing is totally different, she isn't more or less stylish than I am, it's just a style difference.. ^^

The past Saturday it was the party of Mariska and Danny (the twins I had been buying presents for).. I won't tell much about the things happened there.. It's not something I'd tell all the world. =]
The things happening after the party are of much more value.. =)
The thing is.. I called a friend of Danny's, who had been my boyfriend a year and a half ago.. I had been the one to end our relationship at that time.. but I fell in love.. ^^'
I just wanted KaMing to know how I felt, not knowing how he felt after all that time..
He hadn't stopped loving me!! =D
So, we're back together! ^^

Speaking of pics! =P I have this cool program on my laptop on which I can edit pictures! =)
It's simpler than Photoshop (I think! xD), but has a lot of fun things you can do..!
I made a lot of pics already.. the posters and backgrounds for my fanfics, for example.. but I used the program to make my profile photo too.. ^^ How does it look? =P I'm starting to get better and quicker at it too! ^^ Keke..

I was bored.. I made this emo: ~(=))~ It's like one of those ancient English soldiers that rode horses! xD I was really bored ^^'

^^ A few days ago, I found a cool song of SHINee, called "Talk to You"..
I totally love the song! =) It's really catchy and the beat is nice..
Usually rap music doesn't really interest me.. but in this song, I actually enjoyed it! xD

Sports.. "Yay! and warm your muscles"? or.. "Aaah! Where can I hide?!"?

As I promised in yesterdays blog entry.. I would blog about something fun! ^^
As long as I didn't forget.. which I obviously didn't! xD

So, the topic of today is "sports"..
As not many of you know, I'm allergic to sport..
*cough, liar, cough*
^^' No, I'm not allergic to sport, but I'm not really fond of it either..

There are some sports I actually do enjoy though! ^^
One of them is dancing and the other is unihockey! =)
I don't know if you know what sport "unihockey" is, but it resembles regular hockey a lot..
It's indoors, played with a ball instead of a puck.. ^^
It's a lot easier!

I'm glad I don't have to follow PE class anymore! *grins widely*
When we had PE indoors, it was okay, but when we had PE outdoors.. *winces at the memories*
I totally disliked those classes!! We would always play baseball, which is something I just can't play! =X
We were entitled to be in both teams once..
We had to hit the ball or stand in the field.. -_-'

When I had to hit the ball it would either not get hit or never see the field.. =X
If I could hit it, I wouldn't be able to send it in the right direction! ^^'

Once I had to stand in the field and I really didn't want to participate in the game, so I thought I was smart to go all the way to the back of the field..

...
Well...
I thought I was smart, but then some *&^%@^%$ boy, who had practised baseball hit the ball real hard and I had to run for it.. -_-'
So I ran for it trying not to lose that big sweaty hand"SHOE".. Keke..
I picked up the ball, gathered all my strength... and threw it 3 meters far.. -_-'
*repeated that for 3 times..*
Anyway.. they ended up running towards me to get the ball in the field, instead of me bringing the ball back! ^^'

My sister has had her PE class a few days ago, and that's how we got to this topic xD..
Turns out.. she has the same problems as I have when playing baseball! xP
She told me she had to be the catcher, but she didn't memorize the rules of the game.. =P
They are complicated! ^^
But if there is anyone on the field who has to know those rules the best, it's got to be the catcher!!! xD

We talked about this topic together over diner and we were wondering..
Does this strength issue got to do anything with being Asian?! ^^
I mean, we are just 1/4 Asian, but we have an Asian build..

Getting to that, we wondered, are Asian people good at sports?
^^ I know, of course there are!! =P matter of fact, I can call out the names of at least 5 persons (not related to sports) that are Asian and good at sports! =)
You know how some countries are known for their sports..
Like the US for American Football, Japan for Sumo wrestling, the Dutch for ice-skating, the French for the "Tour de France" and so on..
Well, my sister and I were wondering which sport would be known for Korea! ^^
I looked it up and.. I could have known -_-' It's TaeKwonDo!! =D
I knew, I knew, I KNE-HEW!! *jumps*

*cough*
My sister is fixing her jaw... it dropped.. Keke..

Anyway.. I'm alone again.. My sister went to sleep..
*envy! I want to go to sleep tooooooo!!!*

Yesterday over diner we were talking about sports, as you have read..
At a certain point my sister and I bacame a little crazy.. ^^'
Keke.. we made this thing: ^^' To be taken lightly of course! *wink*

How to become a Sumo wrestler:
Step 1:
Start off practising Martial Arts for a few years..
Step 2:
When you have practised for some years start eating as much as you can..
Tip: Not excersising accelerates the process!
Step 3:
You can't afford to lose weight, so minimalize your movements!
Step 4:
When your size matches the door post even if you suck your belly in, try out for the Sumo team! ;) Good luck!! =D

WARNING: IF YOU WANT TO BECOME A SUMO-WRESTLER, MAKE SURE YOU DON'T USE THESE TIPS ABOVE.. AND FOR YOU JACKASSES OUT THERE, DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME (OR ANY PLACE FOR THAT MATTER)!!! ;)
